In early 2024, I fulfilled a longstanding dream, when I got the chance to work on season five of the beloved re-make of All Creatures Great And Small.
In homage to my relative: Sergeant Peter Brindley Robinson of 427 Squadron, I took on the role of a trainee Sergeant Wireless Operator/Air Gunner.
Over several days filming at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre in East Kirkby, I portrayed a member of budding RAF aircrew at 10 OTU Abingdon (ironically where much of Masters of The Air was filmed back in 2021!)
Whilst I brought along limited props for this production, I did locate an original blue AB64 paybook (which wasn't seen on camera), and - as with on Masters - created a sketchbook in period style, basing any handwriting on surviving examples of Peter's from the time!
